Wushu Training and Styles
Chaoyang District Children's Sports CentreLu Yan’s speciality styles are the main Wushu competition styles, including Chang Quan, Jian, Qiang, Dao, Gun, Nan Quan, Nan Dao and Nan Gun.

Alongside these she teaches San Jie Gun, Jiu Jie Bian, Shuang Jian, Shuang Dao and Shuang Bian. She can also teach a variety of other styles like Cha Quan, Tong Bei, Fanzi Quan, Zui Quan or Ditang.

She is an accomplished Taiji practitioner, having been taught by both Men Huifeng and Kan Guixiang. She prefers to teach the Competition 42 and 24 step routines along with the more demanding Chen style.

She has also been taught Bagua by two of China’s most renowned masters, Liu Jingru and Sun Zhijun.

Classes are run two evenings a week but we can add classes if required. Currently we run classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm to 8:30pm. We restrict places in these classes to ensure that Lu Yan's teaching is not diluted.

If you would like to attend these classes then please contact us for more details, and to confirm whether we have spaces available.

All classes will be taught in Chinese. Every class will be attended by Lu Yan, and her assistant will help with translation into English when necessary, although in general the amount of translation required will be minimal.

Note that the Wushu styles listed here are not a full list of what she can teach. If the style you want to learn is not listed here then contact us.

Training Location
Inside the Wushu hallTraditionally all martial arts training in China was done outside, but modern Wushu really does need a safer environment.

All our training is done at the Chaoyang District Children's Sports Centre in Hong Miao, by the east 4th ring road in Beijing, just south of Chaoyang Park. This centre has a dedicated Wushu facility with a Wushu carpet (ditan).

If you have any specific training requirements (e.g. you particularly want to train Taiji outside for example) then we can always arrange this for you. Please contact us and we'll see what we can work out for you.
Costs
We try to be flexible in our costs, attempting to make Lu Yan’s teaching as accessible as possible to everyone. The cost of our group classes are currently 150RMB per class and payment is required in advance or on the night.

If you have any further questions about classes with Lu Yan then please first consult the Frequently Asked Questions page. If your question is still unanswered then please contact us. We will be glad to answer any questions that you may have.
